Good luck to Greg Klazura

Greg Klazura has been cut loose from the Vancouver Whitecaps, who have declined to take up an option on his contract. It comes as no surprise because Klazura is not really good enough (yet) to play in Major League Soccer. He struggled to keep up with the pace of the game in the two or so MLS games he played in, but did well for the team in some Canadian Championship matches. Training and playing in the Whitecaps reserves alone is not what Klazura needs. He needs to drop down a level to the NASL and be playing regularly in proper competitive matches. If he does this he may get the experience he needs to get another stab at MLS.

Klazura was a great guy to have around, however, and brought nothing but good things to the Whitecaps in the role he played. I wish him all the best in the future.

  1. He was a disaster in his two games…own goal and foul which lead to penalty. ..two subs two goal s against. ..I’d suggest he finish his medical degree.
