Farewell Kevin Harmse

Kevin Harmse has been placed on waivers (i.e. cut from the team) after his second stint with the Vancouver Whitecaps. He was with the team a number of years ago for a while when we were in the United Soccer Leagues Division 1. He left to play with Toronto FC, and then with the LA Galaxy. Kevin was given a second go by the Whitecaps in Major League Soccer, but after a number of matches he has been deemed surplus to requirements.

Harmse gets stuck in for the Whitecaps

I am not sure where Kevin will go next, but wherever he goes I want to wish him luck. I respect any player who pulls on the Vancouver Whitecaps jersey and does his best for the team, and no one can argue Kevin did not do that. He gave his all for the shirt, and I, for one, appreciate it.

Hard luck Kevin, and all the best in the future from a grateful Whitecapsfan!

  1. I feel sorry for Kevin because we just have too many midfielders that play his style – honest, hard working, long on ball winning and short on creativity. I wish him well.
