Whitecaps Hold Puerto Rico: 1-1

Another respectable result for the Whitecaps.  I had a go at watching the second half on the live stream on the Whitecaps site, which was hard after watching all of the high quality World Cup production!  The stream seemed to die towards the end of the match.

Striker Marcus Haber did not score in his last match before moving on to West Brom.  We will miss him, even though he only scored two goals this season.  He commands a lot of attention from defenders and frees up other players to score.  Time for one of our younger strikers to step up to the plate, or perhaps Marlon James is fit enough to be able to take over.  We need some experience and size up front!   We may struggle over the next few games because of Haber’s loss.

Ansou Toure potted our goal for us and seems to be recapturing his form from last year.

Our next game is against AC St. Louis.  Lets hope they still have a team when we arrive!
