Caps tie Aztex 1-1

The early season misfiring continues for the Caps.   It is not a good sign that the team is mediocre coming out of the box.   Teitur will have to do some hard thinking ahead of the match with Portland, who are always a tough side to play. Our strikers have to get going.  Usually an expansion franchise is good for shooting practice, but all credit to Austin for holding the champions to one goal.    We need to plug up the leaks in defence having conceded three goals in the last two games.  We conceded a goal on a corner kick.  Apparently the guy who headed in for the Aztex was unmarked.  Sort it out guys!!!

Wes Knight had his first start for the Caps and played alongside Gage, Trafford and Nash in midfield.

Haber and Gbeke started as strikers and Orgill came on as a sub for Gbeke.

Apparently the inspirational Justin Moose is ready to come back from injury.  I sure hope so because we need  someone to inject some life and passion into our moribund team.   We are really missing the leadership and calm of Jeff Clarke. In my view it will take some replacing that guy…
