Addlery bites back: Puerto Rico Islanders 2 Vancouver Whitecaps 1

After looking next to useless all of last year, misfiring striker Nicholas Addlery seems to have found his scoring touch now that he plays for the Islanders. He scored two goals to peg us back after Haber put us ahead early. It is always tough to get burned by a guy you let go because he was “not good enough”. Addlery has scored as many goals for PRI this season as he scored all last year for the Caps. For us, he played like a miserable ball hog who had no head for team play. Ironically, this can be a benefit to a striker who is played all the way up front and not expected to do anything else. This seems to be the role he plays for PRI. All credit to PRI for finding a way to get the best out of him. Teitur must be blushing a bit!
