Jarun and Addlery Released

As far as Addlery is concerned, I felt he had a disappointing season.  He certainly did not live up to his billing. He is a very fit and fast striker but his ball control and soccer sense were very poor.  He often had the chance to release the ball to players who were open but failed to do so because he is simply not aware of what is going on around him.  He would try to dribble in on goal all on his own but did not have the skill to make it happen.  Frankly, I would always have played Jordan instead of him because Jordan can hold the ball and release other players.

I am sad about Jarun because there is no doubting his desire to play and his willingness to sacrifice for the team.  He made great efforts for us.  He was not as good in the air as he should be for a big fellow and he was not great at starting attacks from the back.  He would often loft the ball in the air in the hopes a striker would latch on.   The game is different now and defenders need to be alert to attacking options.  I thought there was a lot of potential there, however and I am sad to see our Palestinian national team player leave.  I held the cup with him after the final and he was clearly ecstatic to win it, even though he did not play in the final.   Good luck to you Omar Jarun!
