Cheers to Mike Salmon

One of the keys to our championship year was the great goalkeeping we got from Jay Nolly.  It is no coincidence that he was coached by Mike Salmon, the Whitecaps goalkeeper coach.  It is interesting to watch the goalkeeper drills before the game and it is clear that Mike Salmon has a regime calculated to keep the keepers sharp and strong.  For me it is a testiment to Salmon’s skill that Tyler Baldock was able to sub in for the Semi Final and get a clean sheet while looking very cool indeed in his performance.  Well done Mike!!!
