Minnesota Thunder 4 Vancouver Whitecaps 3: Quarter-Final Second Leg

I never got to see this one, but watched it on the match tracker until it became aggregate 5-1 for the Whitecaps.  Old boys Sebrango, Valente and Nash scored a goal each. I thought, “that is it” and went off for a nap. Imagine my surprise when I saw the final score…We nearly blew it!  We were lucky to win on aggregate 5-4. How the Caps fell asleep and let the Thunder score two goals even after Minny were down to 10 men I don’t know…  This points to a leaky defence, and it appears that the Thunder were able to score on their chances where on Friday night Nolly robbed them blind.    We will really have to tighten up on our defence in order to win it all, and I now have my doubts because if we meet PRI in the finals they will score goals on us. Ryan Suarez, where are you?   Still, I will keep my faith and hope that we put the finger in the leaky bucket.  Montreal are in trouble because they have a Champs League game mid week out of town so their travel schedule will be brutal.  Perhaps we should host on Friday to give Montreal a travel nightmare! Not very sporting, but we have earned the right to do this by finishing ahead of them.
