Argentina 1 Nigeria 0 Olympic final

I only caught the second half of this game, which was a bit of a bore, really.  I remember the 1996 final where Nigeria won the gold at the last kick of the game beating Argentina 3-2.  That was a dramatic thriller.  In the 08 final Nigeria barely got a kick of the ball with Argentina strolling about in possession.  Argentina plays magnificent possession football, with 10 players who can shield and protect the ball.  The only way to get the ball is to foul them.  It was a shame Nigeria were not more fit because they seemed to sit back too much and watch Argentina play.  Nigeria looked good and quick going forward when they got the ball, but lacked finesse in the final third of the pitch.  They gave the ball back to Argentina too cheaply and then struggled to get back in possession.  It was nice to see Riquelme get a gold.  I am sad he never played in England because I would have loved to see more of this guy.  What a player!  He was the heart of Argetnina in this win.
