Say no to more glassy condos!

Vancouver is a town driven by real estate.  Beautifully nestled next to the sea, the limited space in Vancouver and its mild if rainy weather makes us love to live here.  There is a long line up of people who would love to move here.  We have moved to a densification model whereby people are expected to live in postage stamps in tall glassy condos which dominate our skyline.  We do have some great public spaces but what we lack is a stadium which befits the beauty and the setting of Vancouver.  BC Place is a disaster, and whomever thought that building an enclosed domed stadium for people to sit in while the glorious spring summer and fall weather was happening outside must have been nuts.  The BC Lions, the only tennant in the place, play during the beautiful Vancouver summer, indoors.  Ridiculous! One of the nice aspects of outdated Swangard is that you can at least enjoy a nice summer evening while watching the match.  One of the main opponents proposed building glassy condos instead of the stadium.   More exclusive glassy condos?  I think not, it is time for us to have a place to celebrate together in the open air!  Viva Whitecaps Waterfront Stadium!
