Whitecaps 1 Miami FC 1

A beautiful night at Swanny but the result was disappointing.  We lost the toss so we missed the Caps attacking the Southside in the second half.  That always puts a damper on things.   The Caps were a bit flat and lacked the urgency and effort necessary to take a game and a team that were ripe for the picking.  Sebrango blew it when he blasted an injury time sitter over the bar.  Miami came to defend but got a goal right down the middle early in the first half.  We tend to give up early goals at home.  Our defense is not quite up to snuff yet.  Caan still needs some experience and tends to turn off his brain as he did against St Vincent the other night while playing for Canada.  We are vulnerable down the middle but perhaps Pozniak will help tighten things up a bit.  Poz scored a fantastic goal to save us from defeat.  He could turn out to be a very valuable asset indeed.
